Here's how we meticulously inspect and prepare every instrument:
- Record and verify the instrument's SKU and serial number for authenticity and tracking.
- Inspect case or gig bag for durability and interior condition.
- Confirm all included accessories and documentation.
- Clean and polish the instrument's body.
- Inspect fingerboard surface for wear or imperfections.
- Evaluate neck and neck joint alignment.
- Examine strings for quality and lifespan.
- Check plastic components (pickguards, control knobs, etc.).
- Inspect hardware, including inlays and binding.
- Assess nut and headstock for proper fit and finish.
- Verify smooth motion of bridge and tuning machines.
- Check strap buttons and ensure proper attachment.
- Inspect truss rod cover and ensure secure placement.
- Evaluate pickup screws, rings, and mounting.
- Test output jack for secure fit and functionality.
- Test pickups (electric and/or acoustic) for clarity and response.
- Verify switch functionality and potentiometer smoothness.
- Check onboard electronics, such as preamps and tuners.
- Tune instrument to pitch and stretch strings for stability.
- Adjust action height, neck relief, and intonation.
- Check frets for wear and smooth edges.
- Play-test all notes and chords across the fretboard.
- Ensure tremolo system (if applicable) operates properly.
- Re-tune to pitch, polish, and clean instrument for a professional finish.
- Safely pack and double-box for secure shipping.
