Balladair is written in a "modern" (1958) dance style. Balladair varies somewhat from the traditional A-A-B-A form in that there is another section added after "B", giving the following new form: A-A-B-C-A. The harmonies are fairly traditional, with the exception that certain "jazz" harmonies and progressions have been utilized. It has be a staple on many music festival lists for decades.
