Swiftriver Passage by Paul Suchan
Description
Swiftriver Passage is a work with contrasting sections. Slow, flowing, lyrical sections are contrasted by fast shifting 6/8 and 3/4 giving a wonderful variety in sonority and feel. There are nice ensemble moments and also the opportunity to feature a few soloists as well: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, and snare drum. This is an excellent piece for showing off an ensemble.
