L. E. Dallas 5-String Banjo 1920s (USED)
Description
Unique and ornate! This is the genuine article from the era of vaudville and folk music.
Made in England in the 1920s, the L.E. Dallas features beautiful abalone inlays on the fret markers and headstock decal, intricate carving on the neck heel and bird's eye maple neck and pot. The hardware is solid brass which comliments the maple components just perfectly. The bridge has been replaced with a Grover but the original bridge is included (it's tied to the inside of the banjo).
This banjo started life as an open back but a Vega resonator was skillfully added at some point in the past 100 years.
Includes it's original wool-lined leather case that is in surprisingly good shape! Own a piece of history!
