Description
The 25 Series embodies the charm of traditional ukulele ornamentation combined with the striking natural figure of acacia, an exotic tropical wood closely related to koa, the beloved tonewood native to Hawaii. All 25 series ukuleles feature a solid exotic acacia top and figured acacia back and sides, providing a bright, round and familiar voice. A wooden rope-style top binding and herringbone rosette and tie block further the unique visual appeal, while hearkening to the ukulele's origins. Other features include a thinly applied satin finish, bone nut and saddle.

BIG Upgrade from a Mahalo Soprano ~ I was gifted a Mahalo Soprano a year ago and have really enjoyed playing yet the instrument itself felt lackluster. After deciding I would continue this hobby more seriously and after countless hours of narrowing it down I decided on the Cordoba 25T. Watching reviews and examples of playing online I came to love the sound and look of this ukulele, it just sounded and looked right. I pulled the plug and went for it! I was surprised upon arrival, the detail of the herringbone rosette, the acacia wood and satin finish look amazing in person, pictures and videos do not do it justice. If you have a chance I suggest you look in store to view/play for yourself (I did not have this opportunity [Alberta] ). It is really light as I was expecting it to be a little hefty. After tuning and playing a couple songs I knew I had made the right decision. The sustain is much better than my previous ukulele and overall sounds and feels premium in hand. The standard Aquila New Nylgut Tenor 10U strings sound clean and I find it for the most part easier to strum/pluck than the smaller soprano I own; only learning curve being a little higher action and longer fretboard. I decided to go for a low G tuning, installed the Fremont Black Low G Set + Fremont Soloist Wound Low G string, and wow... This instrument sounds of heaven. Quality strings on a quality ukulele. The acacia wood fitted with a thin satin finish really give it that natural wood look revealing some textured pores which I am particularity fond of. All in all I highly recommend this ukulele.
